Mission statement:
To support the girls in Troop 678 to develop their life skills as they experience values-based, life changing moments.
The newest troop on Mercer Island just for Girls:
Launched February 2019, we aim to provide a well rounded BSA program for girls! This program offers girls that are interested to join a one-of-a-kind adventures that will teach them life skills, create new friendships, be part of a team, gain confidence and become a leader all while gaining outdoor & survival skills.
This is a Scout led environment! Adults/parents offer guidance and encouragement by volunteering. We need at least one active parent or guardian to participate per Scout as we aid our daughters in achieving more than they thought was possible on their journey to Eagle.
For those who have participated in the cub scout program, it is important to note that unlike the cub scout program, Scouts plan and execute their meetings, activites and journey to Eagle. Scout Advancement in BSA is based on individual initiative with guidance and encouragement from the patrol leader, Scoutmaster, and other youth and adult leaders.

BUT in exchange there will be smiles & fun, learning from their mistakes and new leaders born that will take with them a lifetime of memories. This is what the program is all about. So, what are you waiting for? Come find out more!
